Old Spanish Treasure Cave
: Sulphur Springs, AR

The Old Spanish Treasure Cave is filled with mystery and legend. Many believe it contains treasures dating back more than 400 years ago, with the search beginning in the late 1800s. The story says
Spanish Conquistadors
fled to the cave during a terrible winter storm to seek shelter. However, these people had recently raided Native American villages and the tribe members sought revenge. The Conquistadors blew their cover once they lit a fire inside the cavern, and smoke rose out of the top of the mountains. Once the dust settled, a conquistador sealed all the entrances to the cave and drew two maps, one on parchment paper and the other on limestone inside the cave. The cave’s current owner is still searching for this lost treasure and has evidence of what these ventures have found and can show you what the team is doing to find this treasure on this cave’s one-hour guided tour!

War Eagle Cavern
: Rogers, AR

If you’re looking for caves near Rogers, Arkansas, this destination is a jackpot — in a boxed canyon on the edge of Beaver Lake lies War Eagle Cavern! Home to salamanders, bats, and other creatures, this cave educates and entertains while letting you explore its beauty. Tour guides can take you, your friends, and your family through this cave’s wide-open rooms along the internal stream and provide details about the formations you pass by on your journey. While you’re here, you can feed the fish in Beaver Lake, find your way through the Lost in the Woods Maze, pan for gemstones, and more!

Onyx Cave
: Eureka Springs, AR

Eureka Springs is an exciting town with music, history, and nature filling the entire city. The Onyx Cave is one popular location to visit if stalactites and stalagmites intrigue you! It was originally discovered in the 1800s and received its name from the numerous flowstone formations within its walls. This cave allows for a 30-minute self-guided audio tour and has an average temperature of 57 degrees to keep you cool during the warmer months. There are lots of other cave tours in Eureka Springs, as well!

Cosmic Cavern
: Berryville, AR

Between Eureka Springs, AR and Branson, MO, rests Cosmic Cavern, Arkansas’ largest privately owned show cave! Staying a comfortable temp at 64 degrees year-round, Cosmic Cavern takes about 1 hour and 15 min to walk through. Two cave lakes are visible as you explore, with one home to a handful of trout! Group tours are available for gatherings of 10 or more, and Wild Cave Tours are available after the regular hours that let you explore the cave’s unfathomable depths!

Blanchard Springs Cavern
: Fifty-Six, AR

Outside Mountain View, AR, lies Blanchard Springs Cavern! This three-level “living” cave system features formations that are still changing. Water droplets full of minerals deposit to create and alter the crystalline formations found throughout this underground wonder. You can see these crystalline formations on tours guided by Forest Service interpreters.
