Just in time for the summer driving season, Fiat has introduced what’s sure to be one of the ultimate convertibles in their over 100-year history of building great cars: the 2019 Fiat 124 Spider Urbana Edition. With a unique look and class-exclusive turbocharged engine, the 2019 Fiat 124 Spider Urbana Edition proves that even the best can be improved with clever materials and paint choices. Introduced at the 2019 New York International Auto Show, the 2019 Fiat 124 Spider Urbana Edition is a $995 option on top of the $25,190 starting price of the 2019 Fiat 124 Spider, which still leaves the 124 Spider the most affordable sports roadster in its class. “With the most powerful four-cylinder turbo engine in its class, our Italian-designed Fiat 124 Spider offers an authentic top-down roadster experience with fun-to-drive dynamics,” said Steve Beahm, Head of Passenger Car Brands – Dodge, SRT, Chrysler and FIAT, FCA – North America. “The new Urbana Edition offers a head-turning, custom appearance for the Fiat 124 Spider.” Building on the foundation of the 2019 Fiat 124 Spider Classica model trim, the 2019 Fiat 124 Spider Urbana Edition features an exterior scheme to Carpe Noctem, with a Piano Black color, with 17-inch aluminum wheels in Fiat’s signature Black Diamond finish, mounted with performance tires. Similar black exterior accents round out the package, including gloss black front pillar bar bezels, seat-back pillars and mirror caps. Out back, one of the rare spots on bling on the 2019 Fiat 124 Spider Urbana Edition are the twin exhaust tips in bright chrome. Front fog lamps both enhance nighttime visibility and give the front fascia a performance, rally-car vibe. Inside, the interior of the 2019 Fiat 124 Spider Urbana Edition features understated matte gray accents, with Urbana leather and microfiber seats and a leather-wrapped instrument cluster hood and instrument panel. Under the hood, the 2019 Fiat 124 Spider Urbana Edition features the reliable, high-winding 1.4-liter MultiAir Turbo four cylinder engine, delivering 164 horsepower and 184 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels.
