For those who want to stay on-site, there’s tent and RV camping with full hookups available. The day fee for a 4×4 of any class is $20, with weekend passes $35. ATV and Side-By-Side day passes are $15. Tent campsites are $15 per night, with full-hookup RV sites are $25. The park includes a large picnic pavilion, public restrooms and showers, a tool room, and a dedicated recovery vehicle that can come get you if your confidence is too big for your rig. Byrd’s includes an on-site restaurant, and even a 2,500-foot airstrip for those who would rather fly in. For off-roaders, Byrd’s features over 30 miles of Jeep and ATV trails spread over 800 acres, with difficulty ranging from their easy trails, to their “Red Trails” which will throw everything but the kitchen sink at drivers, and which shouldn’t be attempted unless you’re in a high-horsepower, full-cage rig. Byrd’s is open year-round, and hosts huge events like the Ramsey Top Truck Champions Series, which draws several hundred 4x4s and spectators. Also found on site at Rock Creek Racing and Recreation is a motocross track, a dirt drag strip, public restrooms and campsites with water and electric hookups. Situated a few miles from the small town of Seymour, SMORR features over 940 acres of stunning countryside, with trails ranging from the easy level 1 to “hardcore” trails that will test the abilities of even purpose-built rock crawlers. SMORR hosts big events all year, including the annual “JeepStock” and the yearly “Top of the Ozarks” Jeep Jamboree in June. Rates are $25 per day for one vehicle and driver, with passengers over 13 years old admitted for an additional $10 per day. Tent camping is available on site for $15. While we wait for things to get back to normal thanks to Covid vaccinations, there’s really no safer leisure activity than a long drive to enjoy the Northwest Arkansas scenery. For overnight stays, there are 14 cabins and 122 campsites available for you and your family to kick back and enjoy the delta-nights by the lake. Lake Chicot State Park includes a marina, park store, and a seasonal swimming pool. There are many spectacular things to see in Arkansas and our favorites are the lakes and beaches. Great Lakes To Visit In Arkansas This Summer!

Arkansas is a beautiful state to live in and we are proud to be residents of the Natural State. Part of that beauty is that Arkansas is home to many lakes and reservoirs, many of which offer great recreational activities. There are at least 2,340 lakes and reservoirs throughout this gorgeous state. Seen below, check out this list of some of our favorite Arkansas lakes to visit, especially on a hot summer day. BEAVER LAKE, ROGERS, AR Close to home is the gorgeous Beaver Lake located across both Benton and Carroll Counties. This 28,000-acre man-made reservoir sits right in the Ozark Mountains along the White River. It is picturesque, with a stunning shoreline made up of towering cliffs and caves, covered in various species of trees. Beaver Lake is a popular tourist destination, not only for its beauty but also for its recreational activities. There are 12 parks around its 487 miles of shoreline where visitors can go camping, swimming, fishing, and picnicking. Beaver Lake also is a source of drinking water for Northwest Arkansas. LAKE DARDANELLE, RUSSELLVILLE, AR Further south is Lake Dardanelle, a 34,300-acre reservoir on the Arkansas River that stretches through five counties in the western part of Arkansas. It is home to Lake Dardanelle State Park that sits on both sides of the lake in both Russellville and Dardanelle. The park provides visitors with picnic areas, pavilions, boat ramps, and playgrounds. In addition to parks, there is an abundance of forests surrounding the lake and plenty of camping grounds to have fun with the family. LAKE OUACHITA, MOUNTAIN PINE, AR Arkansas’ largest lake, Lake Ouachita is 40,000 acres of clean, freshwater nestled in the scenic Ouachita National Park. There is a load of fun things to do at Lake Ouachita, from scuba diving to kayaking. You’ll never run out of places to swim with the numerous beaches, open waters, and quiet coves. One activity you will never get tired of is the great fishing. Bream, crappie, catfish, and striped bass can be caught out of Lake Ouachita. Around the lake, there are plenty of day-use areas and overnight accommodation with more than 90 campsites.
