The 2025 Dodge Charger features a twin-turbo inline-six V8 engine capable of either 420 horsepower or 550 horsepower, depending on if you go with the Sixpack S.O. or H.O. engine variation. On the back of the vehicle is a rear motor with a mechanical limited slip differential, which minimizes slipping when you launch at high speeds using the all-wheel drive configuration. You might not expect it in a performance car, but the 2025 Dodge Charger comes with a hidden hatch that opens up to reveal space for large bags or gear. Additionally, the second-row seats can fold flat, which gives you 38.5 cubic feet of storage space. Dodge says this is 133% more space than the former iteration of the Charger!
EV or Gas?
Now comes the big question: gas or electric power? While both 2025 Chargers offer powerful performance, the Charger EV takes the gold when it comes to power, speed, and acceleration capabilities. The all-electric model, which Dodge calls the Daytona, is capable of 670 horsepower with the Charger Daytona Scat Pack. It can reach 0-60 mph in a blinding fast 3.3 seconds and hit 0.25 miles in just 11.5 seconds. Talk about lightning speed! Combine that with the estimated 627 pound feet of instant torque, and you have a performance vehicle that will turn heads as it zips down the road.
Dodge has included a 100.5 kWh high-voltage battery in the 2025 Charger EV to give it optimal performance and make sure nothing was sacrificed in the transition from gas to electric power. The lithium-ion battery powering the Daytona model gives it an impressive 300-mile range on a single charge when equipped with the largest available battery configuration.
