Since World War II, Dodge and sister brand Jeep have been rolling into combat with America’s armed forces, with Dodge supplying ambulances, heavy trucks and staff cars that literally carried U.S. forces to victory in the Pacific and European theaters. Now Dodge is honoring that long partnership with the brave men and women of the U.S. Military with two new special edition performance cars: the 2019 Dodge Challenger and Charger Stars & Stripes Editions. Featuring unique military-themed badging, stripes, color combos, interior features and emblems, the cars are sure to be a hit with military vets and anyone who wants to honor the sacrifices our soldiers make while in uniform.

The Stars & Stripes Edition Dodge Challenger and Charger debuted at the 2019 New York International Auto Show in New York City, with Dodge pointing out that the brand has the highest percentage of active-duty military customers among all major brands in the U.S. automotive industry. In addition, the Dodge Challenger and Charger have the highest percentage of active-duty military buyers in their respective vehicle segments of the market.

“Dodge is known for delivering custom looks straight from the factory. We also have a strong following of buyers who are in the military, as well as many buyers who are patriotic,” said Steve Beahm, Head of Passenger Car Brands for Dodge. “The Stars & Stripes Edition is an opportunity to deliver a custom look with unique elements that speak to those performance enthusiasts who want to extend their passion for their country to the Charger and Challenger.”

Externally, the Stars & Stripes Edition features a unique Satin Black and Silver accent stripe running the length of each car’s front fascia, hood, roof, trunk lid and rear fascia, along with Satin Black American Flag fender decals. Putting the substantial power to the ground are 20 by 9-inch satin-black wheels, showcasing bronze painted Brembo brake calipers on Challenger R/T Scat Pack and Charger Scat Pack models.

Inside, the salute continues, with gloss black interior accents, black-on-black cloth seats embroidered with a unique Bronze Star with unique bronze accent stitching, dark brushed metal interior bezels, and a unique bronze instrument panel badge.

The Stars & Stripes Edition is available on 2019 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack, R/T and GT, and the 2019 Dodge Charger Scat Pack, R/T and GT models as a $1,995 option package. Available colors for Stars & Stripes Edition Challengers and Chargers include: Destroyer Grey, F8 Green, Granite Crystal, IndiGo Blue, Maximum Steel, Octane Red, Pitch Black, Triple Nickel and White Knuckle.
